Within the Nuclear Industry our Specialist Chemistry services are called upon alongside our Radiochemistry services to ensure that major contractors decommission plant and dispose of waste materials in a safe manner. In the environmental sector we measure contaminant/pollutant levels in water, soil and vegetation, plus the screening of foodstuffs for specific inorganic and organic entities.

Environmental Scientifics Group’s Radiochemical Laboratory within the Laboratories and Analytical Services Division offers a broad range of radiochemical testing, providing customers with an invaluable support.

Working with private, public and highly regulated organisations our experienced and skilled team monitor, test and analyse for radioactivity in the nuclear sector and across a range of other markets. Food, water, nuclear / power generation sites and employees in the nuclear industries are monitored and tested by scientists based at our Harwell laboratory.

ESG's highly respected specialist radiochemical testing facility at Harwell offers safe, controlled and high quality testing of radioactive samples. Our services include radiochemicial testing, bio assay analysis and the decommissioning of sites.

Within the nuclear industry ESG are called upon to ensure that major contractors decommission plant and dispose of waste materials in a safe manner. In the environmental sector we measure radiation levels in water, soil, vegetation plus the screening of foodstuffs for radioactivity levels. The majority of the laboratory procedures undertaken are accredited by UKAS to ISO17025.

Additionally, ESG are one of a small number of HSE approved providers of bioassay services as part of a Dosimetry Service to monitor the safety of radiation workers within the UK nuclear industry. The Laboratories and Analytical Division is a leading provider of analytical services within the UK and provides technical expertise, high quality data, excellent turnaround times and unrivalled customer service.
