Our service has been produced specifically for landscape architects, landscape contactors and consulting engineers involved with soft landscaping schemes, providing site specific soil information that is normally not covered by environmental, ecological and geophysical studies.

Service Description

There are three key elements to this service:

Soil Survey A member of the Institute of Professional Soil Scientists performs a survey of the site soils, examining the topsoil (and subsoil) to provide information on topsoil depth, drainage potential, variations in soil texture, stone content and presence of deleterious materials and evidence of pernicious weeds.
Laboratory Analysis Laboratory analysis is performed to categorise the soils in terms of their physical and chemical makeup.
Interpretative Report A comprehensive report considers the site soils in relation to the proposed soft landscape scheme. Practical recommendations are provided that can be readily incorporated into tender/specification documents.

Full recommendations are given to maintain/improve soil quality as appropriate
