Specialist Chemistry Facilities and Information

Specialist Chemistry Testing

The ESG Laboratories and Analytical Division offers an extensive range of inorganic and organic analyses as well as radiochemical evaluations, all undertaken within the same business in one of our many UKAS accredited laboratories.

Our highly skilled and experienced laboratory staff offer customers the assurance that testing will be carried out with the utmost integrity. The majority of the laboratory procedures undertaken are accredited by UKAS to ISO17025, and our facility is certified by the MHRA for GLP, GCP and GMP.

Pharmaceutical and Healthcare
Within the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries, our services prove invaluable to a wide spectrum of clients including hospitals, contract research organisations (CROs), medical device manufacturers and multi-national pharmaceutical companies. For example, testing may include the determination of suites of elements (up to 70) in starting materials, intermediates, final product, containers, syringes, intravenous and dialysis solutions.

Environment Agency
The far reaching requirements of the Environment Agency demand a high quality analytical support service for consultants monitoring air and emissions from industrial stacks, power stations and incinerators. As a consequence, our scientists have met this challenge with an increasing MCERTs capability and a comprehensive involvement in proficiency schemes.

Nuclear
Within the Nuclear Industry our Specialist Chemistry services are called upon alongside our Radiochemistry services to ensure that major contractors decommission plant and dispose of waste materials in a safe manner. In the environmental sector we measure contaminant/pollutant levels in water, soil and vegetation, plus the screening of foodstuffs for specific inorganic and organic entities.

Rail
Within the Rail Industry our experience and expertise is unrivalled as we provide investigative chemical analysis in support of our customer’s environmental, health, safety and development projects.

ESG firmly believe that our business is one of the leading providers of analytical services within the UK providing technical expertise, high quality data, excellent turnaround times and unrivalled customer service.
