Transformer Oils Testing and Analysis

ESG’s have many years experience in analysis of electrical transformer oils for power generators, distributors and end users. ESG Laboratories offer a comprehensive analysis of electrical insulation and transformer oils in relation to Dissolved Gas Content and Physical properties which allow the condition of the equipment to be monitored and potential failures corrected.
We also provide analysis of oils for the presence of Furfuraldehydes  (FFA) and Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) in any insulation oils.

Our Transformer Oil Analysis service identifies:

• Faults within transformers based on the nature of the gas content of the oil sample

• If oil has become contaminated with a material that can reduce its insulating properties and requires changing to prevent reduction in effectiveness.

• Assess oil condition and identify need for oil change based on condition rather periodicity

• Investigate reasons for component failure
