Fire Safety

At ESG our fire safety consultants have experience in delivering effective risk assessment solutions for fire safety across a range of sectors and premises, from sports stadia to social housing and from hotels to retail premises. Findings are presented in the form of assessments with action plans and can include full action plans or executive summaries across portfolios.

As technical fire safety specialists that are not linked to manufacturers or suppliers of fire safety products we retain our independence and wherever possible provide a number of possible solutions to identified issues e.g. to justify increased occupancy numbers in public houses or to provide sufficient protection following a change of use etc.

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order a ‘responsible person’ (usually the owner, employer or occupier of business or industrial premises) must ensure that a suitable fire risk assessment is undertaken. Responsible persons under the Order are required, following a risk assessment, to implement appropriate fire safety measures to minimise the risk to life from fire and to keep the assessment up to date.

In support of the above ESG can also provide a range of training courses both in-house and accredited for property managers, fire wardens and safety representatives.
